Stand out with your conversations during sorority recruitment
“I rushed as a freshman and was so disappointed when I only got invited back to one sorority at the beginning of sisterhood round. Despite this, I decided to go thru recruitment again as a sophomore and that’s when I found Getting the Bid. This course was so helpful and Sloan was so hands-on during the whole process. The best part was the call at the end where we applied all of the lessons learned from the modules. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone unsure of how the rush process works, it helps you be confident when talking to sorority members so you can show them who you truly are.” — Hannah
“Being the first to go greek in my immediate family, I was a little worried that I would be out of the loop going to a college with competitive greek life but Mastering Small Talk changed that. The program helps you find exactly what you are looking for as a PNM before even going through recruitment so you can find which chapter you mesh with best. It gave me insight into what chapters will ask and how you can respond in a way that best fits your own personality and interests!” — Megan
“It [Mastering Small Talk for Sorority Recruitment] helped me feel more prepared. I was so nervous going in because I felt like I didn’t know anything. Mastering Small Talk really helped me show the sororities what I was thinking and why I wanted to be in AXID!” — Hana
“Without the help of Getting the Bid I wouldn’t be in my sorority!! I joined AOII which was my dream sorority!” — Makaily
“When I first went through recruitment as a freshman, I was scared and anxious and had no idea how to stand out. Needless to say, despite being invited back to my favorite houses during all of recruitment, I was less than thrilled on preference and bid day. Of course, I tried to keep an open mind when I opened my envelope on bid day, but I knew that this sorority just wasn't for me.
I decided to try again as a sophomore, and that's when I found Getting The Bid! The course and e-books were so helpful. But even beyond that, my 1:1's and conversations with Sloan were really what allowed me to go into rush confidently- and more importantly, receive a bid! By sticking to Sloan's method and having a list of qualities I wanted in a sorority, I was able to choose the house that was right for me- not just the one I felt pressured to choose. I only just received my bid recently, but I already feel so welcome and changed as a person. I would recommend Getting The Bid to everyone- it changed my life for the better!” — Cheryl
“I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the recruitment process without Sloan and the Mastering Small Talk Program. Sloan offered great support in keeping positivity through the experience and provided insight on the recruitment process that made me feel much more prepared. The program helped me become confident in my conversational skills and expand on my answers during recruitment. I cannot thank Sloan enough for getting me a bid to the sorority of my dreams!” — Maya
